About Us

Bankura Nursing Home

Unmatched Patient Safety

Bankura Nursing Home (A Unit of Ritawari Healthcare Services Pvt. Ltd.), is a leading multispecialty healthcare institute at Bankura. At Bankura this is one of the oldest institute sincerely extending healthcare solutions since 1980. Not only the people of Bankura district but people of other districts/ towns like Purulia, Birbhum, Durgapur and Asansol also come to us for treatment. We are the pioneer in Laparoscopic Surgery in West Bengal (after Kolkata and Siliguri). You will be glad to know that we are performing Laparoscopy since 1995 with outstanding rate of success. To improve our efficiency and quality of service we bring in new technologies at regular intervals for better surgical precision and safety of our patients. Introduction of 3 Chip Camera, 22” HD monitor and state-of-the-art Ultracision (Harmonic Scalpel) were introduced for the 1st time in remote place like Bankura in the year 2005, probably considered as a lot ahead of time. Recently we have further strengthened our reputation in ‘bringing new technologies ahead’ by introducing state-of-the-art Full HD Laparoscopy instrument, 5mm Precision IE telescope along with new generation Harmonic scalpel with Enseal. Not only in the field of Laparoscopy, we are also pioneer in bringing 3D Ultrasonography in 2006, Fully Automated Biochemistry Analyzer in 2013 only to strengthen our commitment in delivering highest level of patient care cost effectively.

There are a number of advantages to the patient with laparoscopic surgery versus an open procedure. These include:
  • Reduced hemorrhaging, which reduces the chance of needing a blood transfusion.
  • Smaller incision, which reduces pain and shortens recovery time, as well as resulting in less post-operative scarring.
  • Less pain, leading to less pain medication needed.
  • Although procedure times are usually slightly longer, hospital stay is less, and often with a same day discharge which leads to a faster return to everyday living.
  • Reduced exposure of internal organs to possible external contaminants thereby reduced risk of acquiring infections.
  • There are more indications for laparoscopic surgery in gastrointestinal emergencies as the field develops.
  • It Create less toxic surgical smoke.
  • The scalpel is superior to a boride in that it can cut through thicker tissue.
  • The harmonic scalpel only coagulates as it cuts.
  • Less bleeding.
